Tee-Ball Heaven

Brendan has been so excited to play tee-ball this year. They have had to cancel the first 2-3 practices and the first game due to SNOW, but now that it is beautiful we have returned to the regularly scheduled program. He has been practicing with his Dad and Grandpa D and over the weekend watched his Uncle Brett play 3 games. He was so eager for his first practice to come. While we were getting dressed for practice yesterday we had the following conversation:

B: "Can I put Yellow Gum (Juicy Fruit) in my back pocket? Baseball players always chew gum."
M: "Um, no- We should probably just concentrate on the ball today. Only big players like Uncle Brett chew gum."
B: "Well, I need to concentrate on hitting the ball AND blowing bubbles."

Brendan carrying his bag to his first practice Practicing his throwing and catchingAfter his practice they had the kids run a 50 yard dash. Brendan added a little flair to the last of the race. He is the one running at us in the blue shirt.

Today he was so excited for his first game that he had to lay out his outfit from head to toe. He was originally going to take his uniform to preschool for show and tell, but I talked him out of that one.

Sitting in line at his very first game waiting for his turn to hit the ball.

First time up to bat.

This was his second up. I want you to notice the slide into first base.
